The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house which has a combined gross home income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home revenue won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from 2025 nsfas application households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to research in a general public university or TVET my nsfas college in South Africa.
All students who wish to more info study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
